Overview

Insight will be responsible for building various backend components in support of the Balanced Network. The following statement of work describes to the best of our abilities the scope of the work given the limited amount of information we have on the overall project. Insight will be responsible for building the components described below by January 31st 2021.

Objectives

The objective of our involvement is to build and deploy the necessary infrastructure components to support the initial development of the balanced services. Infrastructure and design decisions will be made to build a scalable deployment though scope is is limited to the smart contract log ingestor and orders API DEX.

Tasks

DevOps

• Setup multi-environment immutable deployment of kubernetes and various managed services to run all the services on the platform including
  • Kafka cluster
  • ELK stack
  • Monitoring tools including prometheus and grafana as needed to meet production requirements
  • SSL, load balancers, or reverse proxies to meet expected load
  • Load balanced ICON API endpoints
  • Front-end deployment
  • Backend services (as described below)
• Development will be done in a tiered approach adding basic services initially and then associating them with a domain

API Development

• Smart contract log ingestor to kafka feed
• Schema registry populated with schemas from relevant smart contracts
